Japanese crossword «Donkey»

American here. Not sure if the rest of the world knows this about us, but due to an accident of history that sort of image (unadorned donkeys, especially silly or exaggerated ones), which I understand brings Christmas to mind in many countries that celebrate that holiday, makes about half of us vaguely proud and patriotic feeling, while mildly annoying many in the other half. The donkey is the accepted symbol for one of our two major political parties, but we almost always see it in exaggerated cartoon parodies, even if the cartoon is supporting that party.
