An interesting and stylized take on this subject.

It has been suggested that cats benefit from the resemblance between their tails and snakes in scaring away predators. The way they hiss might increase the predator's confusion.

You all have got it wrong. You just can't see the transparent plastic wrapping or container the idiot has managed to crawl into. When you have a cat you are never surprised.
